Privacy Policy

Thank you for visiting the D’option Recrutement website and for reading its privacy policy. This site does not place cookies on the hard drives of visitors’ computers. In addition, no personal information is collected unless prior consent is obtained from the user. The information transmitted automatically between computers does not identify you personally. Elles ne sont recueillies qu’en raison des exigences technologiques inhérentes à la navigation sur Internet et sont utilisées à des fins statistiques.

The information transmitted automatically

You should know that as soon as you access our ministerial site, a certain amount of information is exchanged automatically, without your having to intervene, between your computer and the server of the ministerial site. The following information, which does not identify you personally, is then exchanged: the Internet domain name (for example, “xyzcompagnie.com” if you use a private Internet access account, or “university.edu” if your access is through a university) and IP address (an IP address is a number automatically assigned to your computer by your Internet service provider each time you browse the Web) with which you access our site; the type of browser and operating system used to access our site; the date and time you access our site; the pages you visit; and if you reach our site from another site, the address of this site (referring site).
This exchange of information is necessary to ensure that the file transmitted by the server is compatible with the computer equipment you are using. The Department also keeps track of the number of visitors, the pages visited most often, the technology used by the site’s clientele, the referral sites and the country of origin of Internet users.

If you provide us with personal information

In accordance with the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information, the body requesting personal information from you must ensure that it is necessary to collect this information (section 64), identify itself and inform you (excerpt from section 65): “the name and address of the public body on whose behalf the collection is made; the purpose for which the information is to be used; the categories of persons who will have access to the information; whether the request is compulsory or optional; the consequences for the person concerned or, as the case may be, for the third party, of a refusal to respond to the request; and the rights of access and correction provided for by law.”
Avoid sending personal information via e-mail. For security reasons, never include personal information in an e-mail message, especially your file number(s), date of birth, etc. If you still wish to send us personal information by e-mail or by filling out a form and submitting it through our site, we will only use the information required to respond to your message and to allow us to follow up on it. Personal information held by the Department is used only for the purpose for which it was collected. It is archived or securely destroyed when it is no longer required.
Personal information is only shared with other government agencies if your request is directed to that agency or if it is required by law. The information you provide is not used to create user profiles and is not shared with any private organization.
